About the Role
The Talent People Pte. Ltd. is sourcing a Student Management Officer to be deployed at a Primary School. Working closely with the school's discipline and student management team, you will support the maintenance of a safe, structured, and positive learning environment through student supervision, discipline support, and operational assistance. This is a one-year contract position within a primary school setting.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:15am – 2:30pm
- Inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break
- No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, school holidays, or gazetted public holidays
Salary S$2,500 – S$2,700 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Student Discipline & Behaviour Management
- Support the Student Management and Discipline Team in the daily management of student conduct and behaviour
- Assist in maintaining a safe, orderly, and conducive school environment
- Conduct regular patrols around the school premises to monitor student safety and behaviour
- Supervise students assigned to detention sessions, including those involved in late-coming cases
- Oversee students temporarily removed from class and ensure appropriate supervision and engagement
- Corrective & Restorative Programmes
- Coordinate and supervise Corrective Work Order (CWO) activities, including classroom and canteen cleaning programmes
- Support restorative conversations and behavioural follow-up where appropriate
- Encourage positive behaviour and accountability among students
- Case Management & Administrative Support
- Support investigations and follow-up relating to student conduct matters
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to student management cases
- Conduct and document routine checks relating to student grooming and compliance with school expectations
- Participate in case management meetings and discussions as required
- Perform other duties assigned by School Leaders or the Subject Head, Student Management
Requirements
- N-Level qualification or equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement when managing students
- Collaborative team player who is able to work effectively with teachers, school leaders, and support staff
- Comfortable working in a student-facing environment and engaging with primary school students
- Must be legally authorised to work in Singapore at the point of application
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered under MOE's Registration Management System (REMS), or eligible for registration
- Prior experience working in a school environment
- Background in youth work, student welfare, behavioural support, community engagement, or related fields
- Experience handling student supervision, discipline, or case management matters
