About the Role
We are looking for a site-based Fire Protection Supervisor responsible for supervising and coordinating daily fire protection installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily fire protection installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Plan and monitor site activities to ensure timely completion in line with the project schedule.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to resolve site clashes, access constraints, and installation issues.
- Inspect and verify installation works, including piping systems, supports, valves, sprinkler systems, hosereels, risers, fire pumps, and associated equipment.
- Ensure approved materials are properly delivered, stored, and installed.
- Assist in material requisition, quantity verification, site measurements, and progress tracking.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, progress, safety compliance, and housekeeping.
- Prepare site reports, including progress updates, manpower records, and inspection status.
- Arrange and attend inspections with consultants, RTOs, main contractors, and relevant authorities.
- Support testing and commissioning activities, including pressure testing, flushing, flow testing, pump testing, and system readiness checks.
- Follow up on inspection comments, defects, punch list items, and non-conformances until closure.
- Assist in verifying subcontractor progress claims based on actual site progress.
- Report site issues, delays, variations, and coordination matters promptly to the Project Manager / Engineer.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, testing, progress, deliveries, and project documentation.
- Support handover, as-built verification, defect rectification, and project close-out activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager / Management.
Requirements
- Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Fire Safety Engineering, or related discipline.
- Relevant trade certificates, safety certificates, or fire protection system training will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision experience in fire protection services for building construction projects.
- Must have direct site supervision experience in the construction industry, preferably in M&E contracting.
- Experience in fire protection services installation, including sprinkler system, hosereel system, wet/dry riser system, fire pump room works, clean agent system, fire extinguishers, and related pipework installations.
- Familiar with Singapore Fire Code, SCDF requirements, approved shop drawings, method statements, inspection and testing procedures.
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, CSD drawings, schematic diagrams, specifications, and coordination drawings.
- Basic computer literacy, including MS Office, email correspondence, site reporting, and digital site management platforms.
- Good understanding of fire protection installation sequence, material control, quality checks, testing and commissioning requirements.
- Able to plan and supervise workers / subcontractors to meet project schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
- Able to coordinate with other M&E trades, architectural, structural, and builder's works teams.
- Hands‑on, responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Good communication skills with site staff, subcontractors, consultants, RTOs, and main contractor representatives.

- Work hours: 5.5 days. Mon–Fri 8.30am–5.30pm, Sat 8.30am–12.30pm
