About the Role
The Talent People Pte. Ltd. is sourcing a Student Management Officer to be deployed at a Secondary School. Working closely with the school's Student Management team, you will support discipline operations, student supervision, case management, and administrative functions that contribute to a safe and conducive learning environment. This is a structured, operations-focused role that requires professional judgement, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage students firmly, fairly, and respectfully.
Contract Details
- Contract Period: 1 August 2026 β 31 December 2027 (17 months)
- Salary: S$2,600 β S$2,800 per month, commensurate with experience
- Working Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30am β 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 8:00am β 5:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am β 4:30pm
- Inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break daily
- No work required on weekends or public holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Investigation & Case Support: Support the Student Management team in conducting preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews. Obtain student and witness statements, gather supporting information, and prepare structured incident reports. Assist with case documentation and follow-up actions as directed by school leadership. Support communication with students, parents, and staff regarding case outcomes and follow-up measures.
- Student Supervision & Discipline Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols around school premises and designated surrounding areas. Monitor student behaviour during recess, break times, and other designated supervision periods. Support the maintenance of a safe, orderly, and positive school environment.
- Detention & Restorative Follow-Up: Coordinate and ensure students report for scheduled detention sessions. Supervise detention sessions and engage students constructively during allocated periods. Maintain accurate attendance and behavioural records. Follow up with students who fail to attend scheduled detention sessions.
- In-House Suspension Support: Supervise students assigned to internal suspension programmes. Work with Year Heads and relevant school personnel to support learning continuity and behavioural reflection activities. Maintain records and provide updates on student participation and progress.
- Reception & Administrative Support: During designated school holiday periods, responsibilities may include managing front counter operations and attending to visitors, parents, staff, and student enquiries. Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries appropriately. Performing data entry, record management, and general administrative duties. Supporting school operational and administrative activities as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Investigations, enforcement, or operational roles within public sector agencies; Uniformed services or defence-related environments; Student management, youth engagement, or behavioural support roles within educational institutions; Other relevant roles involving case management, investigations, supervision, or stakeholder engagement.
- Calm and professional approach when managing challenging situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and staff respectfully.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, email, data entry, and Google Workspace applications.
- Strong documentation and report-writing abilities.
- Must be legally authorised to work in Singapore at the point of application.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in investigations, case documentation, incident reporting, or structured fact-finding processes.
- Prior experience in school environments, youth programmes, or student-facing operational roles.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism, objectivity, and discretion.
- Familiarity with restorative practices, behavioural support, or student engagement initiatives.
