About the Role
The Talent People Pte. Ltd. (EA License: 24C2589) is sourcing a Discipline Support Officer on behalf of a secondary school in Bishan. This is a contract role supporting the school's Student Management team in strengthening school discipline and student development through structured supervision, case support, and restorative follow‑up.
Contract Period: 29 June – 30 October 2026
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (8 hours/day, excluding 1-hour lunch)
Location: Bishan, Singapore
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct campus patrols and maintain adult supervisory presence during recess, lunch, and lesson transitions
- Monitor and manage latecomers; collect mobile phones and maintain detention lists
- Support in‑house suspension processes — create structured environments and guide student reflection activities
- Assist in preliminary investigations, fact‑finding interviews, and compilation of incident reports
- Supervise detention sessions and coordinate restorative activities with the Student Management Committee
- Maintain and manage discipline‑related data, including latecoming records, student statements, and documentation
- Report operationally to the Student Management Committee; adapt to school timetable and event schedules
Requirements
- Prior experience in uniformed services strongly preferred (Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prison Service, or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, ideally with exposure to youth‑related case investigation, behavioural support, or restorative work
- Demonstrated ability in conflict management, de‑escalation, and proportionate behavioural intervention
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with students while maintaining professional boundaries
- Proficient in basic data entry and Excel; able to maintain accurate records
- Culturally sensitive; collaborative working style with teachers and school staff
- Aligned with a care‑based, restorative approach to discipline — not purely punitive
