Are you ready to take the lead on cutting-edge Building Management System (BMS) projects in some of the UKβs most innovative smart buildings? Our client, a leader in smart building technology for nearly 40 years, is looking for a Senior BMS Project Manager to join their expert team.
You will lead the delivery of BMS projects from initial design and presales support to implementation, commissioning, and ongoing support. This senior-level role carries full responsibility for technical quality, financial performance, project governance, and stakeholder management.
Coordinating internal teams and external partners and ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, on budget, to the highest technical standards are something that you are passionate about, as you will be helping to shape the next generation of intelligent, sustainable buildings.
To be considered for this exciting role, you will possess:
- Significant experience managing BMS/EMS project lifecycles, including installation and commissioning.
- A strong working knowledge of multiple BMS platforms (e.g., Trend, Tridium) and integration with systems like HVAC and lighting.
- A proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and external partners across distributed sites.
- Technical insight into smart building systems, ELVS environments, and digital transformation in the built environment.
- Relevant qualifications in BMS, EMS, HVAC, mechanical or electrical engineering would be very welcome.
If successful, you will be tasked with:
- Project leadership and overseeing all BMS projects and service packages across the business.
- Being in front of the client and delivering client presentations and attending project workshops to support trust-based relationships.
- Leading end-to-end delivery including presales support, tender submissions, vendor management, design approval, installation, and aftercare.
- The production of costed proposals, technical responses, and comprehensive bills of materials and all other project governance and technical oversight, ensuring adherence to technical standards, commissioning processes, and project milestones.
- Implementation of commissioning plans and BMS performance testing, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), room readiness, and acceptance criteria.
- Being the escalation point for technical queries and operational issues.
- Responding to technical queries, RFIs, and change requests with professionalism and clarity.
- Supporting presales by validating technical proposals and tender documents in collaboration with sales and design teams.
- Preparing service delivery models and bespoke maintenance proposals for ongoing client support.
