Salary: Open to salary for the right candidate and bonus!

We are working with an exciting, fast-growing beauty technology business looking to appoint a Product Compliance Manager to take ownership of product and supplier compliance across its growing product portfolio and international markets.

This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring products meet all relevant safety, regulatory and compliance requirements, from initial product development through to manufacturing and ongoing sales.

Working closely with Product Development, Operations, suppliers and external regulatory specialists, you will take responsibility for managing day-to-day compliance activities, coordinating testing and certification, reviewing technical documentation and ensuring products meet the necessary requirements across the UK, EU and wider international markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership and building robust compliance processes within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of product compliance throughout the product lifecycle, from NPD through to existing products.
  • Manage product testing, certification and regulatory requirements, including CE, UKCA, EMC, LVD, RoHS, REACH and WEEE.
  • Work directly with overseas manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring all required compliance documentation, certificates and test reports are obtained and accurate.
  • Manage relationships with external testing laboratories, certification bodies and regulatory specialists.
  • Review technical documentation, declarations of conformity and test reports, identifying any gaps or potential compliance issues.
  • Support supplier audits, factory compliance checks and corrective actions, ensuring any issues are resolved.
  • Coordinate product registrations and market access requirements across the UK, EU, USA and Australia.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure relevant requirements are implemented across the product portfolio.
  • Manage product safety issues, non-conformances and corrective actions, escalating significant risks where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain compliance processes, technical files and documentation to support the company's growing product range.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in Product Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety or Technical Compliance within a consumer product environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical product compliance, particularly CE, UKCA, EMC, LVD, RoHS and REACH.
  • Experience working with electrical consumer products, electronics, small domestic appliances, beauty technology or personal care devices.
  • Confident managing overseas manufacturers and suppliers, ideally including Chinese OEM/ODM factories.
  • Experience coordinating product testing, certification and technical documentation.
  • Comfortable reviewing technical reports and challenging suppliers where documentation is incomplete or incorrect.
  • Experience with supplier audits, quality assurance or corrective actions would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of international compliance requirements, particularly the USA and Australia, would be beneficial.
  • A proactive, organised and hands-on approach, with the confidence to take ownership and work cross-functionally.

Unfortunately, due to the anticipated high numbers of applications we will not be able to respond to every applicant. If you have not received feedback within 14 days, your application may have been unsuccessful
