Are you an organised, approachable coordinator who enjoys being at the centre of a busy working environment? The Talent Movement is supporting an organisation working at the heart of innovation to recruit a Hub Coordinator for its site in Newport. This is a varied, customer-facing role where you will help ensure the hub runs smoothly each day. You will support innovators, partners, visitors and colleagues, creating a welcoming and professional environment while keeping the operational detail firmly under control.

It would suit someone with experience across administration, office coordination, facilities, reception, customer service or events who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making sure people have a positive experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for innovators, visitors and partners
  • Managing enquiries, bookings and drop-ins, directing people to the right teams when needed
  • Coordinating the day-to-day running of the hub, including reception, meeting rooms and supplies
  • Keeping shared spaces organised, safe and ready for use
  • Supporting visitor, event, tour and meeting logistics
  • Assisting with basic health and safety checks, inductions and site procedures
  • Liaising with contractors and facilities providers regarding minor maintenance
  • Supporting the Hub Manager with administration, usage tracking and routine reporting
  • Communicating bookings, activities and operational updates to colleagues

What we're looking for:

You will be organised, reliable and comfortable managing a range of priorities in a busy, customer-facing environment. You will also bring:

  • Experience in administration, office coordination, facilities, customer service or a similar operational role
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • A friendly, confident and professional communication style
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of day-to-day issues
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems
  • Experience within an innovation hub, shared workspace, university, science park or similar environment would be useful, although it is not essential. Exposure to events, bookings or basic health and safety processes would also be an advantage.

You do not need a scientific background, but an interest in innovation, emerging businesses and supporting organisations that are developing solutions for the future would be welcomed. This is an opportunity to join a purpose-led environment where you will play an important part in creating a professional, well-run and supportive hub for the people using it each day.
