Systems Safety Engineer (Submarines) £60-70k + Bonus + Private Medical + enhanced pension + 4 days WFH / 1 day Bristol office (9 day fortnight working pattern)

Do you want to work on some of the most exciting, complex and technically challenging projects across Defence?

Working for a growing consultancy with an excellent track record, you will be the Systems Safety Engineer across a range of defence projects focusing on Submarine & Maritime projects. You will be working on complex, technical, exciting, and challenging projects with an excellent benefits package and flexible and hybrid working (1 day in the office / 4 days WFH).

You will need experience in producing Safety Reports and Plans, including Safety Case Reports and Safety Management Plans, with a focus on Hazard Identification and Analysis, especially within UK Submarine programs. A background in safety assessment, Hazard Log Management, and Systems Engineering principles is essential. Familiarity with DE&S and ASEMS processes is a must, along with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Desirable qualifications include experience with Fault Tree Analysis, Requirements Management, and Failure Modes Effects Analysis. Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, IEC 61508, and safety assurance for software/hardware is beneficial. Ideal candidates will have an Engineering degree, be Chartered (CEng), or have equivalent experience.

UK Nationals eligible for UK Security Clearance are required as this is UK Eyes Only.
