This role is for experienced Tech Leads who want meaningful responsibility, technical credibility, and the chance to lead teams through genuinely complex delivery. You’ll work on large‑scale digital transformation programmes for major UK organisations, partnering with Solution Architects, Product and senior stakeholders to turn architectural intent into working systems. What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and mentoring engineering teams across complex delivery programmes
  • Owning technical execution in partnership with Solution Architects
  • Translating architectural designs into robust, scalable implementations
  • Setting and maintaining engineering standards and delivery discipline
  • Supporting engineers through feedback, coaching and development
  • Making and defending technical decisions with senior stakeholders
  • Ensuring systems are secure, operable and maintainable at scale

Must-have experience (non-negotiable)

  • Clear track record of managing and mentoring engineers
  • Experience leading teams of 48+ engineers through delivery
  • Strong hands‑on engineering background with real technical credibility
  • Experience delivering complex, cloud‑based systems
  • Comfortable operating under delivery pressure and ambiguity
  • Able to explain trade‑offs clearly and stand behind decisions

  • UK nationality or Indefinite Leave to Remain (settled status)
