A young, independent womenswear boutique that has earned its reputation by doing things properly. Every customer is styled as an individual, the team knows the collection inside out, and the selling comes from insight, never pressure. This role will suit someone who loves the shop floor and takes equal pride in a store that runs flawlessly behind it.
Your New Role
- Styling customers one to one, sharing fit expertise and product knowledge so they leave looking and feeling their best
- Building relationships that bring customers back, season after season
- Supporting in-store events and customer outreach with confidence and warmth
- Contributing to sales targets through genuine, proactive selling
- Owning reporting across sales, stock and operational data, and keeping it accurate
- Managing compliance logs, training records, supplier paperwork, invoicing and expense tracking
- Keeping the stockroom organised and stock moving to the shop floor
- Running system audits and supporting stocktakes in Lightspeed
- Feeding back to the Store Manager on how product is performing
- Acting as the store’s Health & Safety Lead and First Aid Officer, including fire safety checks and emergency preparedness
- Working closely with the Store Manager and Owner
- Solving systems, equipment or supplier issues as they arise
Your Talents
You have a background in retail sales and styling, ideally in premium or luxury fashion, and you know the difference between helping a customer and pushing a sale. You also have hands-on experience of retail operations and administration, with the kind of attention to detail that keeps records accurate without being asked twice. Above all, you can move easily between the customer in front of you and the compliance log waiting in the back office, giving both your full attention. Confidence with modern point-of-sale and stock systems is important, and Lightspeed experience is a bonus. You are warm, calm under pressure and someone the team can rely on.
Why Apply
This is a rare chance to shape how a young boutique runs, working side by side with the Store Manager and Owner. You’ll gain genuine breadth: styling and dealing with customers on the floor, alongside reporting, stock control, supplier management and health and safety leadership. First aid training is provided. For anyone building towards store management, few roles offer this much responsibility across both sides of the business.
NB Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to respond to every candidate. We will only contact those shortlisted for an interview. We are not able to provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
