People Business Partner - Tech
What’s it look like?
This high-growth retail-tech scale-up is quietly powering a revolution on the shop floor. Their products connect store teams so they can work smarter, faster, and happier — and if you’ve been in a UK supermarket lately, you’ve probably seen them in action without even realising. With 250,000+ users across 21 countries, they’re scaling fast and already named one of the UK’s top 100 best SMEs to work for.
They’re now looking for a People Business Partner to help shape culture as they grow. This isn’t a tick-the-box HR gig — you’ll be partnering with managers, coaching leaders, designing and delivering learning programmes, embedding DE&I, and embedding People practices to scale in the right way. It’s equal parts strategic and hands-on, with plenty of scope to leave your mark.
This is a hybrid role with regular trips to their Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire offices to keep People Team presence strong.
Now you’re talking…but what’s in it for me?
- The chance to influence a business at an exciting stage of growth.
- Space to design and deliver learning & development initiatives that actually stick.
- A leadership team that genuinely wants People at the table, not just in the background.
- A culture that prizes collaboration, engagement and doing things properly, not just quickly.
- The opportunity to work alongside a brilliant People team who share the same goal: building a place where people thrive.
Yep, I’m sold! So now tell me what’s required…
- You’ve been a People/HR Business Partner in a fast-moving, scaling business.
- You’ve got some L&D firepower — spotting needs, building programmes, delivering impact.
- You’re credible with managers and leaders, able to coach, challenge and influence.
- You’re solutions-focused, proactive and commercially aware.
- You’re just as comfortable getting stuck into the detail as you are shaping big-picture strategy.
This one’s for someone who wants more than “maintenance mode” HR. If you’re up for helping a fast-growing tech business scale in a way that puts people at the centre, this role will give you that platform.
