Our client is an established bespoke furniture maker with over 35 years of heritage, producing exceptional commissions for some of the world's most prestigious private homes, luxury yachts, and high-end hospitality clients. Based in Whitby, North Yorkshire, they are seeking an experienced Cabinetmaker and Team Leader to join their highly skilled workshop.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate directly in the creation of bespoke furniture commissions from the workshop floor
  • Guide projects through to completion, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern woodworking machinery
  • Lead, support, and motivate team members, setting and maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision
  • Ensure every piece leaving the workshop exceeds client expectations
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and productive workshop environment
  • Work safely and accurately from technical drawings

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a highly skilled cabinet maker ideally time-served or formally trained
  • Demonstrable leadership ability; you lead from the workshop floor, not from behind a desk
  • In-depth knowledge of furniture-making materials and processes
  • Safe and competent use of hand tools and woodworking machinery
