A long-established upholstery restoration and refurbishment specialist supporting hotels, restaurants, bars and leisure venues across the UK is hiring an experienced commercial upholsterer or upholstery estimator looking to step away from the day-to-day on the tools aspect of upholstery and move into a surveying, estimating and costing role. This will be a new client-facing role using your upholstery expertise to assess work, measure accurately, price projects, and keep jobs moving - with pre-arranged site visits across the South of the UK (No sales required).
Upholstery Estimator package:
- Circa £30,000 salary (guide) plus company vehicle and expenses such as fuel card (personal use allowed)
- Guaranteed salary progression: +£1,500 after successful probation (salary increases to circa £31,500)
- Further development and qualifications supported, including the opportunity to complete a Monroe Pendulum Machine training course with a further +£1,500 salary increase (up to circa £33,000 total)

Upholstery Estimator responsibilities:
- Complete pre-arranged site surveys/visits: measurements, specifications and scope of works (must have upholstery experience)
- Produce accurate cost estimates for materials, labour and timelines
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to secure pricing, quality and availability
- Support negotiations and provide cost updates prior to contract agreement
- Plan schedules and keep clients updated; UK travel required (fully expensed)
Who we are looking for:
- Strong commercial upholstery / furniture restoration knowledge (hospitality ideally)
- Confident preparing estimates and working to budgets and targets
- Comfortable with drawings/specifications, measurements and calculations
- Professional communicator; organised and confident with digital estimating tools
- Full UK driving licence and happy with regular UK travel and occasional overnight stay (fully expensed)
