Furniture Technician / Upholsterer Field-Based Role with Van Provided

£30,000 - £45,000 OTE + Bonuses + Van + Tools

Are you an experienced upholsterer or furniture repair technician looking for a new challenge? One of the UK's leading and award-winning furniture repair specialists is recruiting Furniture Technicians across the UK, offering both employed and self-employed arrangements to suit your lifestyle and goals.

This position gives you both options and a genuine long-term career path doing what you love. A basic salary of between £30,000 and £35,000 per year, monthly performance bonuses, optional double-pay weekend overtime, a fully serviced company van with fuel card, tools, laptop and mobile phone provided, a 12-week paid training and induction programme, regular 6-month salary reviews, and access to a modern head office and on-site training centre.

The Self-Employed Option includes:

  • Higher rate of earnings with £45,000+ OTE
  • Fully flexible working
  • No earnings cap
  • Full training provided

Responsibilities include:

  • Visiting customers in their homes to carry out furniture and upholstery repairs
  • Working on fabric and leather furniture including sofa arms, cushions, stitching, frames, and recliners
  • Logging repairs and completing job reports via laptop using company software

Requirements:

  • A background in upholstery, furniture repair, furniture restoration, or a practical hands-on trade
  • Confidence working independently and diagnosing furniture faults
  • A full UK driving licence

Full Training Provided

No Mobile Repair Experience Needed: If you have strong upholstery, furniture repair, or practical hands-on skills but have not done mobile repair work before, that is not a problem. You will receive a full 12-week paid onboarding programme, on-the-road support, and training on digital systems from day one.
