Job Description

Commercial Upholsterer / Contract Upholstery

  • Basic Salary £34,000 + Earnings of £45,000 to £55,000 OTE
  • (Overtime Estimated between £45,000 to £55,000 per annum)
  • Fully serviced and insured work vehicle, fuelcard, expenses and travel contributions.
  • Bristol/Chippenham/Swindon region travelling along M4 Corridor (May include occasional overnight stay, fully compensated for)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Commercial Upholstery restoration business who require a skilled Upholsterer or commercial Furniture Restorer for an immediate start, to carry our professional furniture and upholstery repairs in commercial businesses such as pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants along the M4 Corridor.

The role offers a basic salary of £34,000 per annum, but current Upholsterers earn on average between £45,000 to £55,000 in overtime and additional earnings. As a Commercial Upholsterer, you will also receive a fully serviced work vehicle with unlimited fuel, tools and all additional expenses such as parking and accommodation (in the rare occasion you may work away).

Commercial Upholsterer main responsibilities include:

  • Repair and restore as necessary, upholstery and furniture in commercial premises such as pubs, restaurants and hotels
  • MUST be able to use a Sewing Machine
  • Cut and sew on site
  • Must be able to top stitch and perform quilted & button back upholstery
  • Undertake other reasonable activities as required including travel
  • Occasional overnight stays when required on rare occasions
  • Open to covering the M4 Corridor

Commercial Upholsterer experience required:

  • Must be able to machine sew and cut on-site using mobile Sewing Machine (Provided)
  • Must be able to top stitch, quilted & button back upholstery
  • Significant experience gained in a commercial furniture production and/or restoration techniques
  • Extensive relevant workplace experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work using own initiative and with others
