Job Description

Upholsterer / Furniture Restoration Technician (Field Based)

Up to £30,000 + £34,000 OTE (Employed) – Full Training Provided

Self Employed Options Available £45,000 Package

Were excited to be recruiting on behalf of a long established, nationwide, furniture restoration business who operate in both the domestic and commercial furniture restoration sectors. This is a field-based role where youll be the face of the business in customers homes delivering high-quality repairs, clear inspection/liability reporting, and delivering top-tier customer service to new and existing customers.

Upholsterer & Furniture Technician Employed package and benefits:

Company van provided, with all tools required to do the job

Competitive basic salary plus attendance bonus and additional bonuses (Approx £400 per month)

Well-paid weekend day rates

Work is organised by area: only one postcode area per day (no constant cross-country travel)

If youre an experienced Upholsterer, Furniture Repair Technician, Furniture Technician, Service Technician, or youve done in-home repairs/inspections on sofas, chairs, beds, mattresses or cabinetry, this is a strong move into a stable, well-supported role with proper training, structure, and progression.

Upholsterer & Furniture Restoration Technician (Employed)

Youll attend pre-booked appointments in your region, to complete:

Furniture repairs and inspections to upholstery, cabinets, beds and mattresses

Inspection and liability reporting using a custom-built app

Professional customer communication from arrival to completion

High standards in both repair quality and report quality, with the goal of keeping the furniture in the home, keeping the customer happy, and keeping the client fully informed through reporting

Upholstery & Furniture Restoration Training and support:

You wont be thrown in the deep end. Full training is provided at the West Midlands HQ with hotel and travel covered. Theres a dedicated training centre and experienced training managers to close any skill gaps and make sure youre confident before working independently.

Youll also have access to head-office based Technician Managers for technical support whenever you need it.

Upholsterer / Furniture Restorer Requirements

Strong experience in upholstery and/or furniture repair (upholstery experience preferred)

Full UK driving licence (required)

Professional, customer-facing mindset calm, tidy, reliable, and confident communicating in a home environment

High standards on workmanship and written reporting

Work location

Field-based / on the road (postcode-area scheduling)
