We are assisting Rayleigh Schools Trust in their search for an exceptional and values-driven leader to take on the dual role of Chief Executive Officer of the Trust and Headteacher of The Sweyne Park School. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead a growing multi-academy trust, and to shape the next chapter of a thriving secondary school with a successful sixth form and a strong reputation for inclusion and community engagement.

As CEO and Headteacher, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Trust and The Sweyne Park School.
  • Be accountable for educational standards, safeguarding, finance and compliance.
  • Lead school improvement and ensure outstanding outcomes for all pupils.
  • Work closely with Trustees, Governors, senior leaders and external partners.
  • Guide the future growth and development of the Trust.

This role combines hands-on school leadership with executive responsibility and is ideally suited to an experienced Headteacher ready to step into Trust leadership.

We are seeking an inspirational leader who:

  • Has a successful track record as a Headteacher.
  • Is a strategic thinker with strong financial and organisational acumen.
  • Leads with integrity, visibility and authenticity.
  • Can build trusted relationships across schools, governance and the wider community.
  • Is ready to grow into (or continue in) a Trust-wide CEO role.

Experience across both secondary and primary phases, or within a MAT context, would be advantageous.
