The Sweaty Betty Foundation is an independent registered charity working across the UK. The Foundation’s mission is to empower women and girls from every background to get active and stay active for life. We focus on breaking down the real-life barriers: social, cultural, and economic, that stop girls from participating in physical activity. Our work prioritises teenage girls who face the greatest inequalities in access to sport and movement. Through our PACK strategy — tackling the challenges of Puberty, Attitudes, Changing Rooms and Kit — we’re building a world where every girl has the chance to experience the joy of movement.

The Partnerships Officer plays a pivotal role in the Foundation, overseeing the management and delivery of our grants and projects portfolio while also providing essential administrative support. This varied role involves working collaboratively with partners, grantees, and stakeholders to ensure projects align with the Foundation’s mission and deliver measurable outcomes. You will also have day-to-day responsibility for maintaining the Foundation’s social media presence to amplify our work and engage our audiences effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Grants Portfolio Management
    • Manage the full grant-making lifecycle, from application review and due diligence to contracting and monitoring.
    • Work closely with grantees to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with agreed outcomes.
    • Develop and maintain robust systems to monitor and evaluate the impact of funded projects.
    • Maintain and keep abreast of relevant trends, policies and practices.
  • Partnership Management
    • Build and nurture relationships with grantees, partners, and stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for grantees, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Support the Fundraising Manager with relevant project activities, insight, assets and resources.
    • Identify opportunities to deepen relationships with existing partners and explore potential new collaborations.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Foundation, including organising meetings, preparing documentation, and maintaining records.
    • Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including trustees.
    • Support the team in managing budgets, schedules, and workflows to ensure smooth operations.
    • Manage our social media and develop plans to amplify the impact of our work.
  • Impact Measurement and Reporting
    • Develop and implement frameworks to assess the outcomes and impact of funded projects.
    • Gather, analyse, and present data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Foundation’s work.
    • Prepare reports for stakeholders, including impact summaries and lessons learned.
  • Collaboration and Innovation
    • Work collaboratively with our partner Sweaty Betty and the Foundation team to ensure all activities are aligned with our mission and values.
    • Share innovative ideas and best practices to improve grant-making, communications, engagement, and operational efficiency.
    • Lead and develop the work of our Girls’ Panel and promote girls’ voices.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience of grant management, project delivery, or partnership coordination in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience of using analytical and creative tools to present information and data.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competence in providing administrative and project management support, with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the sports, health, or wellbeing/active sectors.
  • Experience of social media marketing, content planning and creation.
