Job summary
Due to maternity leave we are looking for an experienced paramedic to cover from October 26 for approx 1 year. As an integral member of the practice team, you will work alongside GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paramedic seeking a role outside of emergency response, in a structured and supportive primary care environment.
Main duties of the job
- Conducting acute and urgent patient assessments within the surgery
- Managing minor illnesses and injuries
- Supporting long-term condition management where appropriate
- Performing home visits
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient care
- Supporting health promotion and preventative care initiatives

We are a friendly and supportive GP surgery dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to our community. With a multidisciplinary team already in place, we are now looking for a full time or part time experienced Paramedic to cover maternity period for approx. 1 year
Job responsibilities

Qualifications
Essential
- HCPC registration as a Paramedic
- Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
- Work Independently
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-mak ing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to work in a primary care setting and adapt to the needs of the surgery.
- Full clean driving license
Desirable
- Experience in primary care or urgent care settings
- Independent prescribing qualification (or working towards)
- BLS Instructor
