Research and Policy Officer at The Sutton Trust
The Sutton Trust is looking for a dedicated and innovative Research and Policy Officer to become part of our team. In this position, you will report to one of the Research and Policy Managers and contribute significantly to the creation and preparation of the Trust's research and policy initiatives. Your work will span key focus areas such as early years education, schools, apprenticeships, higher education, and workplace access.

What you’ll do
- Assist in the development of original research and policy documents that are data-driven and relevant to current issues.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the Trust's research aligns with its strategic objectives and addresses pressing educational challenges.
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant field such as education, social policy, or a related discipline.
- At least two years of experience in research or policy analysis, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing reports and policy briefs.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with statistical software or data visualization tools.
- Previous involvement in educational research projects or policy advocacy.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Knowledge of educational policy frameworks in the UK.
