Duties and Responsibilities
- To prepare teaching spaces for practical lessons in Art and Food.
- To assist with cleaning and checking of equipment, resources and materials.
- To check equipment for safety and report faults or damages.
- To prepare, organise and maintain materials for lessons and demonstrations.
- To support students in lessons under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- To order, audit and manage stock and consumables across both departments.
- To prepare ingredients and weigh materials for Food lessons.
- To maintain displays of student work within the Art department.
- To handle money and maintain accurate records where required.
- To assist with enrichment activities and curriculum events.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by line managers.
Resources
- To operate specialist equipment such as kilns, batik pots and sewing machines.
- To operate Food Technology equipment including cookers, microwaves and dishwashers.
- To work with teaching staff to ensure safety and well-being of students.
General Duties
- To participate in all aspects of training and development.
