The Sustainable Darkroom, in partnership with the Northern Centre of Photography and the Photography Research Group at the University of Sunderland, invites applications for a 6-month hybrid residency culminating in an in-person exhibition and symposium in Sunderland in October 2027.
We seek 5 UK-based researchers, practitioners, or thinkers to propose sustainable systems for photography and visual technology, with emphasis on interdisciplinary ideas and speculative outcomes.
