Formby Surveys is growing and we’re looking for a Utilities Manager who’s ready to lead from the front and develop our utilities department.
We already deliver high-quality utility mapping, GPR, CCTV and subsurface surveys across the whole of the UK and we are looking for the right candidate to manage this element of our business who shares our values of Integrity, Collaboration & Excellence.

We are seeking an excellent communicator who is able to take instructions, share information with others. Therefore excellent verbal & written communication skills are essential for this role. The role is a management role and will require someone who is committed to driving standards and is keen to teach others. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve, find solutions and anticipate client requirements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing & mentoring a growing utilities team
- Leading utility surveys across PAS128 projects
- Acting as technical lead across utility & void investigations
- Collaborating with all our internal survey departments
Skillset:
- Proven experience in utility mapping at a senior level
- Strong PAS128 / GPR / EML / CCTV knowledge
- A focus on consistent delivery
- Maintain awareness & develop skills in new & emerging technologies
- CSCS (required), NRSWA / Confined Spaces (a bonus)
- A passion for accuracy and quality
- Have a full, clean UK driving license
