Overview
Role specification: Responsible for supporting Project Managers in delivering surveys across diverse environments. The role requires planning and executing small to medium projects, managing timescales, adapting to challenges, and escalating issues when necessary. Flexibility is essential, with work required during days, nights, and some weekends. This role comes with a company van and the opportunity of overtime.
Responsibilities
- Undertake topographical surveys
- Perform total station and GPS/GNSS observations
- Work with the latest technology β Stream Up
- Resolve unexpected technical difficulties that may arise
- Mentor and train less experienced team members as required
- Manage and maintain survey equipment
- Produce CAD drawings from survey data
- Post-process GPR data in GREDHD and IQ Maps
- Assist in the overall development of the survey department
- Adhere to company manuals and processes
- Ensure QA/QC compliance

- Be fully aware of and actively comply with Munnelly Groupβs policies and procedures relevant to your responsibilities
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude, respecting fellow team members
- Play an active role in leading the business and fostering a culture of excellence and high performance
- Keep equipment and work area clean and tidy where reasonably possible
- Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by line management
- Initiate continuous improvement in your areas of responsibility and provide feedback on your performance in one-to-ones and PDRs

Person specification
- Proven experience in conducting land, topographic, and boundary surveys
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, and laser scanners
- Experience with CAD software and data processing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS)
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, mapping techniques, and geospatial data
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and legal documents related to land boundaries
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and local authorities
