Are you an experienced Land Surveyor looking to advance your career? Based in Aylesford, we are seeking a skilled professional to join our team, carrying out topographical, boundary, and construction surveys across various industries and locations for engineering, construction, and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge surveying technology on critical development projects within a company that values precision, safety, and professional development. You must be willing to work away from home and/or carry out extended hours as required.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Conduct topographical, boundary, and construction surveys using total stations, GPS equipment, and levels.
- Establish control points and survey networks for engineering and construction projects.
- Measure and record precise distances, angles, elevations, and coordinates in the field.
- Set out building positions, road alignments, and infrastructure locations for construction teams.
- Prepare detailed survey drawings, site plans, and cross-sections using CAD software.
- Process and analyse survey data to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments to ensure optimum performance.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors regarding survey requirements.
- Produce accurate survey reports and documentation for client deliverables.
- Carry out quality assurance checks on all survey work and calculations.
- Support construction monitoring activities including as-built surveys and setting out works.
- Travel to various project sites and adapt to different working environments and conditions.
Travel across the UK is very common. Candidates must be open to working away from home during the week and accommodate night or evening shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years Land Surveying experience.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of topographical and construction surveying techniques.
- Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys.
- Ability to process and analyse survey data using industry-standard software.
- Working knowledge/understanding of survey specifications and standards.
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly.
- A full UK manual driving licence.
- CSCS Card.
It is desirable that you also have some or all of the following:
- Ability to use CAD software.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word.
- SSSTS.
Salary: £28,598-£45,366 per annum, depending on experience, plus enhanced rates for nights and optional weekends.
