We are a small practice in Warrington and pride ourselves on always endeavouring to help our patients as best we can.

We are looking friendly and motivated person to join our team as a receptionist/administrator at our busy GP practice

We have a welcoming and supportive team of clinicians and admin staff with a low staff turnover.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience of working in a GP practice or similar environment. They will fit into to the existing reception team and support the clinicians and colleagues.

Main duties of the job

  • Dealing with patients, in person, over the phone and via online services
  • Prescription requests and queries
  • Appointment booking
  • Liaising with hospitals and community services
  • Inviting patients for reviews, screening, health checks
  • Typing referral letters

About us

Our practice team is made up of 2 GP Partners, a Salaried GP, a nurse, Practice Manager and five receptionists.

We use EMIS web clinical system.

Job advertised – part time – 25.5 hours position.

Job responsibilities

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

Qualifications

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
  • Reliability.
  • Experience of working in a GP practice.
  • EMIS -experienced user.
