Job Description

Router Operator/ CNC Operator (Night Shift – Full-Time)

SureStaffing UK Ltd are looking to recruit a CNC/ Router Operator for our client based in Leeds. Our client, is one of the UK\’s leading plastic engineering companies.

This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity offering excellent pay and long-term stability.

Ideal candidate for a Router Operator/ CNC Operator role will have:

  • Experience operating and setting up CNC router machinery
  • Ability to read and follow design drawings
  • Experience programming CNC router software and completing first-off inspections
  • Good understanding of toolpaths, de-burring components, and materials
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Prior experience working with plastics is a plus, but not essential

Responsibilities And Duties Of a Router Operator/ CNC Operator

  • Identify correct materials and tooling based on job pack
  • Follow technical drawings and measure components to meet customer specifications
  • Program and operate CNC machinery/ router machinery
  • Perform inspections and quality checks on finished components
  • Work in line with BSI manufacturing standards
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Identify and correct machine issues or defects promptly
  • Carry out other relevant tasks as required by the company or management

Shift Times For a Router Operator/ CNC Operator

  • Night shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • 4 x 12-hour shifts (46 hours/week)

Pay Rates For Router Operator/ CNC Operator

  • Β£16.53 – Β£17.24 / hour (depending on experience)
