Overview
Sure Staffing Ltd is recruiting for a Despatch Operative on behalf of our expanding client in the horticulture and floral production industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Despatch Operative – Immediate Start
Location: Brough (HU15)
Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour
Shifts: Sunday – Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM – Finish
Job Type: Full-Time | Ongoing
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack products ready for despatch
- Label and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements
- Load completed orders onto transport vehicles
- Perform final quality checks before items leave the site
- Use handheld scanners or systems to record dispatch data
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and transport teams
- Maintain clean and organised despatch areas, adhering to health & safety standards
- Support stock rotation and basic stock handling tasks when required
About You
- Previous experience in a despatch, warehouse, or logistics role (preferred but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in order handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and flexible approach to shift patterns
- A team player with good communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
