We’re working in partnership with Communities Academies Trust to recruit Cover Supervisors to support schools across Telford. If you have experience in education, sports coaching, youth work, or similar fields—and are enthusiastic about helping students succeed—we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students stay on task
- Creating a calm, respectful, and productive learning environment
- Supporting students with lesson materials and responding to any queries
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and adhering to school policies
- Reporting any concerns or incidents to the appropriate school staff
- Promoting an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning experience
- Experience working with young people, preferably in a school or similar setting
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in behaviour management and maintaining pupil engagement
- Flexible and adaptable approach across different year groups and subjects
- Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to school life
