Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Across Derby Trust: Odyssey Collaborative Trust Rate of pay: £83-97 per day Contract type: Full time, part time, adhoc Start Date: January 2024 The Supply register are delighted to be working in partnership with The Odyssey Collaborative and we are currently recruiting for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across their Primary Schools, on a temporary cover basis supporting with full time, part time and day-to-day requirements. What will the role consist of? Looking after children’s physical, social & emotional well-being Keep records & attend review meetings if and when required You will be required to use your innitiatve to adapt class work to suit student needs Working alongside other members of staff to provide outstanding support to all student Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance. Form positive relationships with children and support them with developing confidence in all areas Working with children with different SEN requirements. This may be in small groups or on a 1-1 basis Requirements: Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA) or related Teaching Assistant qualification Have experience working with in young people with SEN previously Experience working with SEND students is desirable Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills Have high expectations of all pupils Have high expectations of themselves and work collaboratively with other staff Demonstrate an excellent understanding and commitment to Safeguarding You must either have a DBS registered with the udpate service or be willing to process & pay for a new one – this is essential **The Supply Register is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, and we expect all applicants to share this commitment.
