The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Lecturer (GCSE/Functional Skills) for a full-time, temporary position. About the Role
As a Maths Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality, engaging Maths sessions at GCSE and Functional Skills levels to post-16 learners. You will contribute to creating an inspiring and supportive learning environment that promotes success and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective and inclusive Maths lessons (GCSE and Functional Skills)
- Support the development and achievement of learners aged 16+
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support improvement
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Uphold the highest standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification (Level 5 or equivalent)
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths in further education or secondary settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
