The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Lecturer (GCSE/Functional Skills) for a full-time, temporary position. About the Role

As a Maths Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality, engaging Maths sessions at GCSE and Functional Skills levels to post-16 learners. You will contribute to creating an inspiring and supportive learning environment that promotes success and progression.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and deliver effective and inclusive Maths lessons (GCSE and Functional Skills)
  2. Support the development and achievement of learners aged 16+
  3. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support improvement

  5. Uphold the highest standards of teaching, learning, and assessment

Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification (Level 5 or equivalent)
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
  • Experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths in further education or secondary settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to student achievement and professional development
