About the Role: Alex Park (Pinnacle) is seeking a committed and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a non-verbal student on a one-to-one basis. This is a long-term opportunity providing consistent support for the remainder of the academic year. You will play a vital role in supporting the student’s learning, communication, and emotional needs, working closely with teaching staff and the SEN team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a non-verbal student
- Support communication using appropriate strategies and tools
- Assist with learning activities and engagement
- Follow EHCP and individual support plans
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 experience preferred)
- Be patient, reliable, and proactive
- Have experience with non-verbal students (PECS, Makaton, or similar desirable)
- Be able to commit for the remainder of the academic year
