The Supply Register are proud to be working in partnership with the St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Academy Trust. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team at St Joseph's RC Primary School, Ramsbottom to start ASAP on a part-time basis (Wednesday-Friday). This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting high-quality teaching and learning in a welcoming and inclusive Catholic primary school environment. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support for pupils, and contribute to the school's caring ethos.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities.
  • Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to support pupil progress.
  • Cover classes during teacher absence (for HLTA applicants).
  • Support children with a range of needs, ensuring inclusion and access to learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent); HLTA status is advantageous.
  • Has experience working within a primary school setting leading the classroom.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is passionate about supporting children's education and wellbeing.
  • Is flexible, proactive, and committed to the school's values.
