Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor Company Overview: The Supply Register are a managed service working alongside 5 multi academy trusts within Devon & Cornwall including St Barnabas Trust, Dartmoor Academy Trust, WAVE Academy Trust and Transforming futures trust. The Role: We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment when teachers are absent. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students stay on task. Key Responsibilities: Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students complete assigned work. Manage student behavior and ensure a safe, orderly classroom environment. Provide support to individual students where necessary. Ensure a high standard of safeguarding and student welfare at all times. Assist with other duties as required, such as exam invigilation or supporting school events. About You: To be successful in this role, you will need: A strong commitment to education and student development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to manage classroom behavior effectively. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure. Previous experience working with young people (experience in an educational setting is desirable). A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics; further qualifications in education or a related field are a plus. Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
