Employer: The Supply Register (on behalf of Oldham Sixth Form College) is recruiting a Cover Supervisor to support Oldham Sixth Form College. The role provides cover for Physics and Electronics lessons while a member of staff attends jury service. This is a short-term assignment, initially planned for 2 weeks from 2 March 2026, with duration subject to change depending on the nature of jury service.
Responsibilities
- Supervising Physics and Electronics classes during scheduled lessons
- Ensuring students remain on task and follow set work
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with college expectations
- Providing general support to learners during independent learning
- Reporting any issues or concerns to curriculum staff
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Professional, reliable, and confident approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Interest in Science, Physics, or Electronics
- Availability to cover short-term assignment; experience as a Cover Supervisor is beneficial but not essential
