The Supply Register are pleased to be working in partnership with Birley Academy, supporting the school with high-quality staffing solutions. We are currently recruiting a General Cover Teacher to work on a supply basis at Birley Academy. This role is ideal for qualified teachers who are flexible, confident in managing a classroom, and able to deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular class teacher.
The Role
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
- Maintain a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment
- Ensure students remain on task and engaged in their learning
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of safeguarding
- High expectations of student behaviour and engagement
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
