The Supply Register is seeking dynamic Cover Supervisors to join our vibrant team, working across John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust schools in Burton. We welcome individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including experienced teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or anyone eager to expand their teaching skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and complete assigned work.
- Maintain classroom behaviour and create a positive, respectful learning environment.
- Support students with any questions or difficulties they may have while working on the lesson materials.
- Report any concerns or issues back to relevant staff, ensuring effective communication with the teaching team.
- Foster an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment for all students.
- Experience: Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Enhanced DBS: Must be registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage with students, staff, and colleagues.
- Behaviour Management: Confidence in managing student behaviour and keeping them engaged.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in different classrooms and subject areas.
