Job Purpose: The Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across a range of subjects, maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement while following lesson plans provided by teaching staff. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a school environment and make a positive impact on students’ learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
- Follow lesson plans provided by teachers and support students in completing set tasks.
- Ensure students remain on task and adhere to school behaviour policies.
- Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress to teachers.
- Assist with the preparation of classroom resources as needed.
- Support the school’s ethos of inclusion, respect, and high expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
