The Supply Register are working in partnership with St Teresas Multi Academy Trust to recruit a dedicated and experienced 1 : 1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged student with an EHCP in Rochdale. This is ideally an immediate start opportunity for the rest of the academic year with the potential for a permanent placement for the right candidate. Applicants for a January start will be considered too.
The Role
- Provide individualised 1 : 1 support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), in line with their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
- Support both academic learning and emotional development
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement tailored strategies
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
About You
- Experience supporting SEN pupils 1 : 1 in a primary school setting is essential
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, or emotional / behavioural needs
- Calm, patient and adaptable with excellent communication skills
