St Gregory’s Primary School in Bolton is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a long-term temporary basis. This position is being recruited through The Supply Register, in partnership with STOCCAT schools.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed individual who has proven experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is confident working both 1:1 and with small groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCPs and individual learning plans.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Proven experience working with children with SEN (essential).
- Strong understanding of a range of additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH).
- Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
- Long-term temporary role within a welcoming primary school.
