- Provide high-quality person-centred care and support to residents, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
- Lead and support care staff during shifts, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care is consistently delivered.
- Assist residents with personal care, medication, mobility, nutrition and daily living activities in line with their individual care plans.
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, recognising and reporting any changes, concerns or safeguarding issues promptly.
- Complete and maintain accurate care records, medication records, daily notes and incident reports.
- Support the development and review of individual care plans and risk assessments, ensuring they reflect residents’ current needs.
- Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, managers and other members of the care team.
- Provide guidance, supervision and support to junior care staff, helping to maintain high standards of practice.
- Respond confidently to emergency situations, challenging behaviour and complex care needs, following appropriate procedures.
- Promote a positive, respectful and inclusive environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding and care quality standards.
