We are looking for a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort across our facilities. This is a valuable role for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and understands the importance of providing a clean, tidy and pleasant environment for residents, staff, visitors or service users.
*Carry out general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and polishing surfaces to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
*Clean and sanitise bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, kitchens, offices and other designated spaces in accordance with cleaning schedules.
*Follow appropriate cleaning procedures and infection prevention and control guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene.
*Safely use cleaning products, equipment and materials in line with manufacturer instructions and health and safety requirements.
*Replenish essential supplies, including soap, toilet paper, paper towels and other cleaning materials, as required.
*Dispose of general waste and clinical waste, where applicable and in accordance with organisational procedures.
*Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, spillages, hazards or any health and safety concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
*Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in a clean, safe and organised condition.
*Respect the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of residents, service users, staff and visitors at all times.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to ensure cleaning duties are completed efficiently and consistently.
