Your Role: The Sun is at the heart of the nation’s conversation. As Video Lead, you will establish ‘The Sun Originals’ video offering across major advertising agencies. Your primary focus will be driving video revenue growth through diverse buying models and strategic partnerships.
Day to day you will:
- Partner with senior commercial stakeholders to design and execute a video sales strategy that accelerates revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with editorial teams to advise on commercially viable video content and align on overall video strategy.
- Act as the face of Sun Video by hosting agency upfronts, leading immersions, and influencing senior agency stakeholders regarding Sun Originals Video.
- Build, pitch, and manage a robust pipeline of new business sponsorship opportunities while growing existing accounts.
- Work cross‑functionally with product, activation, and strategy teams to ensure seamless, world‑class post‑sale delivery of video campaigns.
- Stay ahead of digital video industry trends and regulations to provide thought leadership both internally and to clients.
What we're looking for from you:
- A proven background in media sales, specifically focusing on digital or social video and commercial partnerships.
- An established network of UK agency contacts, particularly within planning and partnership teams, to effectively drive business.
- A demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets by applying a proactive sales mindset.
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to craft high‑quality sales collateral and pitch confidently at senior agency events.
- Strong analytical skills to drive informed business decisions, paired with proficiency in using CRM systems like Salesforce to manage your pipeline.
