Your Role
Are you obsessed with female culture and Gen-Z digital trends? As a Senior Producer for Fabulous, you will oversee the growth of one of our highest-profile formats, driving content that connects with millions. Reporting to the Commissioning Editor and Channel Manager, you will lead a creative team to build successful digital franchises from the ground up in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Your Team
Sun Originals is a brand-new video production studio making premium series for The Sun, Sun Sport, and Fabulous brands. Creating, developing, and producing a slate of brand-new original shows, the department is tasked with delivering huge new audiences and developing a raft of famous new faces. Fabulous is The Sun’s brilliant lifestyle magazine brand—famous for its coverage of fashion, beauty, and women’s culture.
Day to day you will:
- Deliver our flagship vodcast format and lead its growth to the next level.
- Make confident editorial decisions based on channel ambitions and audience analytics.
- Assist the Commissioning Editor with strategic planning and creative direction.
- Cast and book the best talent.
- Produce shooting briefs and scripts for various series and digital formats.
- Manage talent on set and lead records with confidence.
- Write compelling supporting copy for new episodes across all publishing platforms.
- Collaborate with Commercial Project Management to integrate sponsorships seamlessly.
- Lead junior colleagues to ensure successful delivery of their formats and social assets.
What we're looking for from you:
- Podcast & Culture Savvy: You understand how podcasts work editorially and commercially, with a genuine feel for women’s lifestyle content, internet culture and the conversations audiences actually care about. Experience of publishing on Megaphone is an advantage.
- Digital Native: You are deeply immersed in the digital media landscape, with an intuitive understanding of what drives traffic online, especially on YouTube and how content needs to adapt across platforms.
- Strategically Minded: You know what it takes to deliver outstanding digital content and how to grow communities and channels around it.
- News Savvy: You have a solid understanding of journalistic practices, the latest news and lifestyle coverage trends, and how to turn them into compelling visual stories that resonate with digital audiences.
- Data-Driven & Results-Oriented: You use analytics and performance insights to shape editorial decisions and optimise content.
- Team management: You are used to managing teams, including producers and editors, to deliver great episodes in a positive manner.
- Leadership & Collaboration: You’re a natural collaborator who can work closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless video production process from concept to execution.
- Organised: You have excellent project management skills and ensure your production admin is correct and up to date.
