Your Role:As a Graphic Designer in Sun Originals, you will play a key role in crafting eye-catching, high-quality thumbnails and supporting digital assets for our sport, showbiz, and Fabulous content strands. You will work closely with video producers, commissioning editors, and the social team to ensure our formats stand out, drive clicks, and engage audiences across YouTube and other digital platforms.

This is an opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented designer who can work quickly and bring fresh ideas to our visual storytelling.

Day to Day You Will:

  • Thumbnail Design:Create bold, engaging thumbnails that grab attention, encourage clicks, and reflect the tone of the content.

  • Format branding:Create original branding for our formats, rolling out the look and feel across supporting digital assets for use across our video formats, social media, and YouTube platforms.

  • Brand Consistency:Apply existing brand guidelines while developing creative ideas that work across multiple formats and audiences.

  • Collaboration:Work closely with video teams to understand the editorial vision and ensure assets complement and elevate the final output.

  • Efficiency:Deliver high-quality designs quickly in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

What We’re Looking For From You:

  • Creative Eye:Strong visual design skills, particularly in layout, typography, and colour for digital platforms.

  • Software Skills:Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (experience with other Adobe Creative Cloud tools is a plus).

  • Digital Understanding:Knowledge of how audiences engage with content on YouTube, social media, and other digital platforms.

  • Organised & Flexible:Able to juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Team Player:Comfortable working collaboratively with editorial, social, and production teams.
