Role Freelance Video Editor: We are looking for a talented and versatile editor to bring our stories to life. In this role, you will edit a diverse range of video formats, from rapid breaking news to polished studio shows, ensuring our content engages millions of viewers daily.
Responsibilities Day to day you will:
- Edit video content spanning a diverse range of formats and platforms.
- Breaking News: rapid cutting of short clips for immediate publication on The Sun’s website.
- Shows: thematic, TV-style programs filmed and produced in our studios.
- Interviews: editing content captured face-to-face and via remote platforms such as Zoom.
- Long-form Edits: production of extended video content optimised for platforms like YouTube.
- Social Media: creation of platform-specific cuts for Facebook, X, TikTok, and other major social channels.
What we’re looking for:
- Proficiency: Expert editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Technical Ability: Competence in Adobe Photoshop.
- Filming Skills: The ability to operate a camera and capture footage.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of current affairs, showbiz, TV, and sport.
- Temperament: The capacity to work effectively and remain composed under tight deadlines and pressure.
