Assistant Manager Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to help with the day‑to‑day management of the pub. The role involves working a mix of restaurant and bar shifts, handling set‑up, ensuring standards and procedures are met, acting as a key holder, and taking responsibility for the pub, team and customers during shifts. The position is 30–40 hours per week with a mix of day, evening and split shifts.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team from the front, ensuring service standards are met.
- Work with the Deputy and General Manager to achieve and exceed targets.
- Take direction, but also provide leadership and support for the team.
- Plan for progression and discuss development opportunities at interview.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in a Supervisor or junior management role in a busy gastropub or restaurant.
- Experience across all facets of pub and restaurant management.
- Ability to work a mix of day, evening and split shifts.
- Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
