Details
To strengthen academic communities by connecting students, student leaders, and staff within a department, fostering engagement, amplifying student voice, and supporting initiatives that enhance the academic experience. This could include:
- Build relationships with students, academic staff, and student leaders across a designated department.
- Bring together Academic Reps, PAL Leaders, Peer Mentors, Departmental Societies, and other student groups to create a connected and collaborative academic community.
- Support the development and delivery of departmental initiatives that align with Students' Union and University priorities.
- Work closely with departmental staff, SU teams, and student leaders to coordinate activities and maximise their impact.
- Promote opportunities for students to get involved in representation, mentoring, peer support, and wider departmental activities.
- Produce clear and accessible communications, updates, and resources to keep students informed about opportunities, events, and developments within their department.

- Passionate about working with communities and creating positive change
- Interested in supporting students to connect, collaborate, and get involved in departmental life.
- Organised, proactive, and able to plan and deliver activities, projects, and campaigns effectively.
- Confident gathering and interpreting feedback, insights, and evidence to inform decision making.
- Able to work effectively with students, student leaders, academic staff, and professional services teams.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while taking initiative and ownership of priorities.
- A collaborative team player who can build effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders

Location
This role will mostly be based in 1 East (Claverton Down campus) or other locations on campus. There may be the option to work from home for specific tasks (by prior agreement from line manager).
