I’m a wheelchair user living independently in Stokes Croft. I’m looking for one or more dependable personal assistants/carers to help with daily routines and build a mixture of regular and backup cover.
Duties
- The work may include personal care, dressing and shower-related support, preparing simple food and drinks, laundry, light household tasks and practical daily help.
- No nursing or medical qualification is needed, and no lifting is required.
- I manage all medication doses and inject my own insulin; a PA may bring items to me or give an agreed reminder but would never decide or guess a dose.
Skills and Experience
- Formal care experience is useful but not essential.
- Reliability, punctuality, practical judgement, respectful communication and comfort with personal care matter most.
- Clear guidance, routine cards and practical onboarding are available.
Hours
- Regular visits are initially about 60 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes at lunch and 45 minutes in the evening, often around 45, 15 and 20 minutes once familiar.
- Occasional longer help may be arranged separately, and exact slots would be agreed individually.
Hourly Rate £15 per hour.
Location Stokes Croft, Bristol.
Application procedure
