We are seeking an organised, proactive and highly detail-focused Administrative Assistant to support our Academic Skills (SEND) Department. This is a pivotal role at the heart of SEND provision, ensuring the smooth administration of assessments, Access Arrangements and statutory processes in line with JCQ regulations. Working closely with the SENCo, teaching staff, the Exams Office and external agencies, the postholder will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning and examinations fairly and effectively. You will be highly organised with good attention to detail and a flexible hands-on approach. You will be an excellent communicator who works well collaboratively in a fast-paced school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Academic Skills (SEND) Department with the administration of assessments, Access Arrangements and statutory processes in line with JCQ regulations.
- Work closely with the SENCo, teaching staff, the Exams Office and external agencies to support pupils with additional needs to access learning and examinations.
- Demonstrate strong organisation, attention to detail and a flexible, hands-on approach; communicate effectively in a fast-paced school environment.
About Stowe School:
Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding school with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
